Video Compressor for Social is provided by Amal Mathew. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.

  1. Video Processing

Videos selected for compression are processed locally on your device. Your videos are not uploaded to our servers.

The app accesses a video only to perform requested actions such as compression, resizing, trimming, previewing, validation, and exporting. Completed videos are saved only to the destination you select.

  1. Photos and Files

If you select a video from Photos, the app uses your Photos permission to access selected media and save compressed videos. You can change this permission at any time in iOS Settings.

When you use the Files picker, the app receives access only to files you choose.

  1. Video Metadata

The app may remove location and device metadata from exported videos. Information needed for correct playback—including orientation, timing, resolution, and color information—may be retained.

  1. Analytics and Advertising

The app may collect limited technical information to understand performance, diagnose problems, and improve its features. This may include:

• Device and operating-system information
• App version and general region
• Feature interactions
• Performance and crash information

Ads may be displayed in the app. Advertising partners may process device information, advertising identifiers, ad impressions, interactions, and attribution information.

Advertising identifiers are used for tracking only when you grant permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. If permission is denied, the app may still display contextual or non-personalized advertising.

Analytics and advertising services do not receive the content of videos selected for compression.

  1. Information Sharing

Limited information may be shared with analytics, diagnostic, and advertising providers that help operate and improve the app. Information may also be disclosed when legally required or necessary to protect users, the app, or our rights.

Your selected video content is not shared with analytics or advertising providers.

  1. Data Retention

Because videos are processed locally, we do not retain copies of your original or compressed videos.

Analytics and advertising providers may retain technical information according to their own privacy practices. Support messages may be retained for as long as necessary to respond and maintain appropriate business records.

  1. Your Choices

You may:

• Change Photos access through iOS Settings
• Change tracking permission through iOS Settings
• Delete locally stored app data by deleting the app
• Delete exported videos from Photos or Files
• Contact us with a privacy or deletion request

  1. Children’s Privacy

The app is not specifically directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

  1. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information handled through the app. However, no electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

  1. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated when the app, its service providers, or legal requirements change. Any updated version will include a revised effective date.
